Wow. Patrick Ness is messing with my head! Many, many interesting themes continue to be developed in this second book of the Chaos Walking series. Torture, deceit, war, allegiance, violence; and I'm leaving out many more. This is a profoundly interesting book about the nature of politics and personal involvement. It is definitely a conversation starter.
