There are echos here of several similar fables, such as those already mentioned in other reviews. I thought of Dr. Seuss' OH THE PLACES YOU WILL GO!, as one, as well as THE LITTLE PRINCE. Isn't this message a most difficult one for a person of ANY age to recognize in our world of fast-paced, achievement oriented living? What I like with THE NORTH STAR, is the introduction of this counsel to little ones. Big ones, too, for that matter. We all need to remind ourselves that we each have our own wonderful journey to experience. When we feel that pang in our hearts, the tingling in our spines, or the gentle whisper in our ear, we recognize that these are our signposts to our own unique destination.
