I loved this book for many reasons, least of all the personal ones! Congratulations, Erica, on a rollicking debut novel. I was totally entertained with Susan Rose's story, and it was riveting to the end. An original take on Victorian England, and the special bond between nursing mothers and their babes. I particularly enjoyed the narrative voice of Susan, and her tale of resiliency and courage. Recommended to all, not just those interested in historical fiction, but anyone who loves a great tale told.
